As of May 12, 2008 a local tour permit is granted by the council for trips of less than 500 miles or travel to a council-owned camp. Council needs the application at least two weeks in advance of the activity for local permits. Councils may require additional time for special activities, and leaders completing this application should plan accordingly. Units are strongly encouraged to utilize MyScouting to file all permits electronically. Print or reproduce on legal- or ledgersize paper.
Must be used for any outing after May 12, 2008
